This event is open to the public.  We only ask that you please register in advance.

Parking is available in the parking deck at the business school when the gates open at 4pm.  The panel will begin at 4:15.

Speakers on the panel include:

Craig M. Cavanaugh - Director, Metering and Communications Solutions at Siemens Energy, Inc.  Craig is responsible for the smart metering and smart grid communications solutions business in North America, which today is primarily focused on the sales, delivery and support of meter data management software for utilities.

Luke Fishback - Founder of PlotWatt.  PlotWatt shows people how to reduce their electricity bills by analyzing smart meter data to identify sources of energy waste.  Proprietary algorithms compute appliance-level energy cost without monitoring the individual appliances. The PlotWatt recommendation engine then generates customized, quantified recommendations tailored to each user’s home.

Upon close of the merger between Duke Energy and Progress Energy, Lee will be Vice President – Grid Modernization, responsible for Duke Energy’s investments in smart grid infrastructure and applications.

Gary Rackliffe - Vice President of Smart Grids North America at ABB, Inc. Gary leads ABB's Smart Grid initiative in North America, including business development, strategic partnerships, and ABB’s marketing and product strategies.
